Maker's Mark Distillery

The original mill and distillery was erected on this site in 1805 by Charles Burks, Sr. it was formerly Burks Mill & Distillery.



Bill Samuels, Sr. bought the 200 acre site in 1953 and Maker's Mark is currently the oldest operating bourbon distillery in the nation.
