I do love the Mandevilla but the frosts here would kill them stone cold dead.
We get about 30-40 frosts a year with the temps. going down to about -6º. However, we usually get a clear sunny day to follow with the top temp. around 12º. With an 18º range it actually feels quite warm for a while in the afternoon.
